Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 was easily the worst game to come out this year. For the last three games they seem to be the same game the only thing different in this one they offer the specialist which I will get into further in this review, the developers at Treyarch seem to be doing a miserable job bringing new ideas to their games.
When Black Ops was released in early 2010 it was a great leap forward in the COD franchise this is the first COD to offer zombies since World at War . This brought Black Ops to the top grossing game of the year in 2010, mostly do to the fact they offered expansions to the game and also the first game to offer Nuketown which later became an iconic map that is only offered in the Black Ops franchise .
When Black Ops 2 came out in 2012 it was set in a new era which offered futuristic maps and new weapons to the game that filled out extra hours of game play by offering different play styles and techniques. When they advertised the game they made it seem like it was taking the Black Ops series to a whole new level, but it wasn't true the game play was more or less the same and whilst the guns were different, it still felt like they just rescanned Black Ops 1 but changed graphics and the time period of which it was set in.
So when Black Ops 3 was announced they showed the trailer in early 2014, But what they showed in the trailer was again showing the game as something bigger then it actually was. The only true new aspect of the game is the specialists which are characters that you can be, each character offers different abilities and each character is unlocked at different levels of multi-player.
So when I got my hands on Black Ops 3 I was expecting the game to take on a new level just like I was told it was going to. What I expected was a fun new style of game play because I grew tired of playing copy and paste games. Nevertheless, I was expecting this game to step it up. Of course I was severely disappointed the game play was the same and didn't feel like it took the next level to make it better then it's predecessor. But by adding the specialist I felt that they just put this aspect into play to make up for not having new ideas to add to the game.
The game itself, had to many bugs that made it hard to play on multiplayer which Teyarch said they will soon fix. The problem is that the bugs aren't the worst part of the game, the game itself is.
So I recommend you don't buy this game and put your well earned money to something worth your bang for a buck which is Fallout 4 if you haven't heard about it you must be living under a rock, But besides that I posted a game review for fallout 4 just recently so if you want to learn more just look at my recent blog post.
